Even with all the comotion on the Valley floor during the summer, Yosemite has many "undiscovered" gems just waiting for you to explore. The best times to visit the Valley with few crowds is during winter or autumn when a bit of Yosemite Magic seems to be cast upon the surroundings. One can find relative solitude during the summer season in Tuolumne Meadows, the gateway into the heart of Yosemite's wilderness. Only 15% of Yosemite's visitors ever make it up to this most magnificent area.
