This was a trip for the ages. Not only did I get to see some of the best scenery in the nation over the course of 14 days for $650, but Laura and I got to relive the trip we met on nine years prior. The trip through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and California was epic because it also brought along Dr. Susan Kerr and her anthropology students. Learning about the geology in the context of folks that have been living on the land since time immemorial was profound and really helped me grow to understand the conflict and strife that cultures suffered under colonialism.
