| Voila! The actual Devil's Hole. The cave system goes some 900 feet deep, but the Devil's Hole Pupfish only live in the first couple feet of water. The population plummeted to 24 several years ago but has since rebounded to over 100. This fragile area is the subject of much scientific study which is why the area is so well protected. |
