Calaveras Big Trees South Grove 28/09/19

The first WildLink day hike of the year was a success! Twenty-one students from Turlock and Pitman High Schools took a lovely four-mile stroll through the South Grove Trail at Calaveras Big Trees State Park to witness Giant Sequoias that are likely several thousands of years old. It’s pretty cool to be able to spend a day with students visiting the some of the most massive single organisms to have ever lived on earth. And, unlike last year’s first trip, no flat tires! Hurray!
