  _9064929.JPG - I call this the "Lightning Rock" for obvious reasons.  The white stuff is probally calcite or microcrystalline quartz that was emplaced hydrothermally into the metamorphic roof-pendants of Yosemite's high country.  There once were silver mines in the area.
