  _7110257.JPG - You didn't think I would skip out on the geoplgy, did you? This is a pretty interesting volcanic breccia made of what looks to be an andesitc porphyry.  That just means this was a sticky magma that had cooled somewhat underground before it was erupted around 10 to 9 million years ago. I have yet to find a map that will give me an exact formation name.
