  RJH_8142.JPG - This is the alluvial fan of Gower Gulch.  The fan was created by diversions near Zabriskie Point in the 1941.  The resulting floods created the large alluvial fan.  The August 2004 flash flood carved the deep channel in the middle of the photo.
