  _6233294.JPG - Just so you know... the exposed black schist is 1.7 BILLION years old, and the pegmatites intruded them 1.4 Billion years ago.  These rocks were essentially at the bottom of a huge mountain range, maybe 5 miles beneath the crust.  This is what the Himalayas should look like if we could explore that far down today.
