A circular polarizer can really do wonders to reduce glare and make the sky ink-blue at high altitudes. This photo is to show the giant crystals (megacrysts) of feldspar in the granodiorite. One can also see the three distinct contacts between the granodiorite, the metamorphosed lake-bed sediments & maffic lavaflows. |
