  20090812_high_emigrant_lake_0025.JPG - After failing to fall back asleep, eating & fishing, I decided to resume my quest for the source of the petrified wood. I found several more pieces, but more importantly found what looked to be charred casts of pine cone scales. I broke the following pieces directly out of the light grey andesite at the south side of High Emigrant Lake.
