| After setting-up camp we headed to the Spectrum Mine and plunked down $200 for a huge scoop of high grade sunstone ore. While the owners crushed the rock, we had some time to sift in a pit. If you ever go, the red andesite ash layer marks the contact with the sunstone-bearing basalt flows. Stay above the red stuff and you should find lots of stones. |
